Frequently asked questions
What is Panchkarma therapy?
Panchkarma is Ayurveda's set of five classical shodhana (purification) procedures — Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Raktamokshana. A course begins with preparation (Purvakarma: internal and external oleation plus Swedana), followed by the main procedure and a graded diet and rest phase (Paschatkarma). The physician selects only the procedures your condition and constitution need.
Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are recommended so the physician can give you an unhurried consultation. Walk-ins are seen subject to availability. You can book through the appointment form on this website or by phone.
Are the therapies safe?
Yes, when they are prescribed and supervised correctly. Every patient is assessed by a qualified BAMS/MD (Ayurveda) physician before therapy, procedures follow classical protocols, and therapists work under physician supervision. Pregnancy, recent surgery and certain acute conditions are screened for before any Panchkarma course.
